1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading or using the app "Vanishing Diary" (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Vanishing Diary is a diary app based on the rule that all data is deleted if you miss even one day of writing. The Service includes:
- Creating and viewing diary entries
- Photo attachments
- Streak (consecutive days) tracking
- Items such as Shield and Rescue
3. Data Deletion
As a core feature of this Service, data is deleted when you miss a day of writing. Please understand the following:
- The day boundary is 4:00 AM the following day (Japan Standard Time)
- If you miss a day without a Shield, all entries are soft-deleted
- Within 48 hours of soft-deletion, data can be restored using Rescue
- After 48 hours, data is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered
Data deletion is a feature of the Service, not a malfunction. We bear no responsibility for data deletion.
4. In-App Purchases
The Service offers the following consumable in-app purchase items:
- Shield ($4.99): Protects your records from one missed day. Consumed automatically.
- Rescue ($69.99): Restores all deleted data.
Purchases are processed through the Apple App Store and subject to Apple's terms. As consumable items, refunds are subject to Apple's refund policy.
5. Usage Restrictions
You agree not to:
- Decompile, reverse engineer, or disassemble the Service
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose
- Place excessive load on servers or networks
- Interfere with other users' access to the Service
6. Intellectual Property
All intellectual property rights in the Service and its content (design, code, logos, etc.) belong to us. Copyright of diary content created by you belongs to you.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is." We do not warrant:
- Uninterrupted availability of the Service
- Freedom from errors or bugs
- Permanent data storage (by design, data is subject to deletion)
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any data loss, service interruptions, or any other direct or indirect damages.
9. Changes to Terms
We may modify these terms as needed. Significant changes will be communicated through the app or website. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
